SAW TECHNICIAN

DEPARTMENT: FLOWCOAT

REPORTS TO: ASSEMBLY COATINGS SUPERVISOR / PLANT MANAGER

LOCATION: COLUMBUS, OH

WAGE: HOURLY, NON-EXEMPT

WORK HOURS: FULL-TIME, 10- HOUR SHIFTS

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Must possess the ability to read a tape measure
• Must possess a basic understanding of Cut-to-Size Panel saw programming and operations
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations - subtract, add, multiply, divide, count, convert decimals and fractions
• Basic knowledge of various materials (i.e., styrene, acrylic, polycarbonate)
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary or required
  
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Plant, Exposure to excessive heat, noise, machinery, and heavy forklift traffic WORK PACE: Moderate but steady

ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Saw production including set-up, operation, packaging, and determining maximum yield of saw blades
• Complete daily production tally sheets and inspection reports
• Consistently meet production goals and standards
• Operate banding device and package finished product according to customer specifications
• Apply quality procedures
• Determine condition of saw blades for servicing
• Clean machine and organize general work area
• Complete all other projects and job duties as assigned
