Heavy Equipment Technician (West Tennessee)

Job Summary
CMI Equipment Sales, Inc. is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join its growing service department in the West Tennessee area. The successful candidate will use a variety of tools and experience to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install a wide range of parts on municipal and construction equipment at customer locations and or on the road. The ideal candidate must have 5 years' experience working with municipal and or heavy equipment to include previous field service experience. The best candidate will have strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Must have a valid and current driver's license and a CDL that will include Manual Transmission. Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, and heavy equipment
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct equipment diagnostics to identify mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain hydraulic systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards are met.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing and repairs.
• Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used in service records.
• Collaborate with Service Team and customer to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in equipment repair.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, parts and sales departments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role focused on equipment repair.
• Strong knowledge of Heavy equipment repair techniques and heavy equipment operation.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Ability to read and understand schematics related to machinery operations.
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong computer, and organizational skills
• Experienced welder with fabrication skills
