Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Adult Mental Health Services Administration, performs a variety of Secretarial duties for Adult Mental Health Services programs, including typing, data entry, scheduling, copying, and various clerical duties requiring exercise of good judgment and knowledge. Additionally, performs a variety of support tasks such as answering incoming calls, providing receptionist functions with consumers and other program staff, scheduling of appointments, handling of petty cash, organizing of materials, various data projects for the AMHS administrative staff, and other duties as assigned. A primary requirement of this position will be to provide Secretary backup for all AMHS programs when necessary in addition to supporting the AMHS supervisors. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the department in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Two years of secretarial experience or equivalent required. Must be able to pass a Microsoft Word and Excel exam with a proficient score. Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required. The ability to gain proficiency in Smartcare, the agency software that tracks statistical data, services rendered and bill for services is required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $19.85 - $22.23 hourly. 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Adult Mental Health Services/Administration, Lansing, Michigan.
