The editor would be the face of the paper and become deeply connected to community issues, events and organizations. The editor will report as well as write editorials.
While the paper is a weekly, content is published digitally first, so there is a constant demand for local news each day of the week. Updating the website, www.redmondspokesman.com, is key.
At least two solid years of experience in journalism or a related field is necessary to perform well in this job. The successful candidate must also have a deep understanding of how to use social media to reach and grow our audience.
Redmond is located in the heart of outdoors recreation that includes downhill and cross-country skiing, numerous hiking and mountain biking trails, micro-breweries and lots of live entertainment.
