A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES ASSISTANT
You will be the interoffice support person to aid Multi-Media Marketing Executives on our outside sales team. The ideal candidate will have general office experience and be able to work independently and function within a team environment while effectively managing multiple tasks and deadlines with regular interruptions and shifting priorities throughout the day. The advertising sales assistant will be responsible for: assisting a team of outside sales professionals with client contact for ad copy and appointment setting/confirmation; account research; processing contracts, adjustments, and other paperwork; scheduling insertion order billing; proposal development and additional duties as needed. This position requires a high level of time management, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently. You'll thrive in our fast-paced environment and get great satisfaction out of making a positive impact on businesses in your community! Our full-time staff work 37.5 hour work weeks, giving you extra time to enjoy family, friends and the great outdoors.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SALES ASSISTANT
This is an entry-level position, for a person that would like to start a career in sales. We hope that this person will enjoy the process and that in time they will step into an outside sales position. Although NOT required, skills in project management or office management are a plus. Required skills are excellent written and verbal communication, accurate proofreading, consistent follow-through, the ability to follow directions precisely, and proficiency using computer software such as Google's G-Suite.
