About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Department RN for a 13-week assignment starting April 27, 2026. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where you’ll treat a wide range of patients—from lower-acuity clinic cases to critical emergencies including strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy-related emergencies, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives under pressure, works independently, and can confidently manage complex clinical situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Manage high-acuity and complex patient cases in the ED setting
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor effectiveness and side effects
- Document all patient care accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately
Qualifications
Education:
- BSN preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years recent ED experience REQUIRED
- Trauma center experience (Level I, II, or III) REQUIRED
Certifications & Licensure:
- Active RN license (State of New Mexico or Compact License)
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS (AHA) – Required
- PALS (AHA) – Required
- TNCC – Required
Contract Details
- 13-week travel assignment

- Multiple shift options available (3P–7P start times)
- Potential for extension based on performance and facility needs

- Completion of facility orientation and competency validation
- ED-specific onboarding with preceptor support as needed
