American Communities is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of our property and lead our maintenance team. This role ensures high-quality maintenance service, strong curb appeal, and excellent resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance operations and assign work orders
- Perform and oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
- Conduct property inspections and ensure preventative maintenance is completed
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Maintain supplies, tools, and maintenance inventory
- Support budgeting and cost control efforts
- Train and guide maintenance team members
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues
Qualifications
- 3 years of maintenance experience (multifamily or property management preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- EPA Certification
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical maintenance work
- Valid driver’s license preferred
