About CMFCAA
The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports, and advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families.
Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.
Position Summary
The Corporate Partnerships and Giving Strategist is responsible for developing and executing strategies that engage businesses as mission-aligned partners in advancing the work of the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association (CMFCAA). This role focuses on building, growing, and stewarding corporate relationships that generate financial support, in-kind resources, and long-term community investment. This position leads the identification, cultivation, and management of corporate giving opportunities, including sponsorships, workplace giving, cause marketing, and strategic partnerships. The strategist works to align CMFCAA’s programs and initiatives with corporate partners’ philanthropic goals, creating mutually beneficial relationships that deepen impact and visibility.
The Corporate Partnerships and Giving Strategist collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure partnership opportunities are integrated across events, programs, and marketing efforts. This role plays a critical part in diversifying revenue, strengthening community presence, and positioning CMFCAA as a trusted partner for businesses seeking to invest in children and families. This role goes beyond transactional sponsorships, focusing on building long-term partnerships that create shared value, elevate community leadership, and drive sustainable impact.
Essential Functions/Job Expectations

Develop and execute strategies to grow and sustain corporate partnerships and donor relationships

Identify, cultivate, and steward corporate sponsors and major donors to increase revenue and long-term engagement

Build and manage a pipeline of prospective corporate partners and donors, including re-engagement of lapsed donors

Create and implement sponsorship opportunities and partnership packages aligned with CMFCAA’s mission and events

Collaborate with Development leadership to meet fundraising goals and revenue targets

Partner with the Marketing team to ensure donor-facing communications, campaigns, and materials are aligned and effective

Lead donor stewardship efforts, including regular communication, recognition, and reporting on impact

Track donor activity, engagement, and revenue in CRM systems (e.g., GiveSmart) to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting

Represent CMFCAA in meetings with corporate partners, donors, and community stakeholders to strengthen relationships and expand support

Support fundraising events (e.g., Gala, BBQ) through sponsorship development and donor engagement strategies

Qualifications/Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, nonprofit management, human services, or related field preferred

3–5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or corporate partnerships

Proven ability to cultivate and manage donor and sponsor relationships

Experience with CRM systems (e.g., GiveSmart) and donor tracking

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet revenue goals

Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evenings and weekends
