CME is currently seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to lead the branch operations of our Garden City, NY Branch. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehousing, distribution, installation, and production operations within the branch, with the New York DTS (Direct to Site Delivery / Installation) and Warehouse departments as direct reports.
This position will be responsible for maintaining effective inventory control practices at the Garden City, NY warehouse as well as general oversight of facility operations and personnel. This position is based out of the Garden City, NY warehouse and will report to the Corporate Director, Distribution Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional communication and collaboration between the warehouse, DTS, and other operational departments, including purchasing, customer service, biomedical services, human resources, and administration
- Coach, mentor, and provide leadership to DTS and warehouse department heads
- Perform day-to-day troubleshooting and problem-solving related to facility operations, inventory management, personnel, and cross-departmental challenges
- Ensure departmental goals are met while adhering to approved budgets
- Support and contribute to the development and execution of corporate strategic and tactical initiatives
- Serve as a key liaison to the sales team, ensuring alignment between operations and customer needs
- Maintain frequent communication with the Corporate Director of Distribution Operations
- Oversee and participate in physical inventory counts at least annually (or as required)
- Ensure quality control and inventory accuracy for all inbound and outbound warehouse activity, utilizing warehouse management systems
- Manage building maintenance, safety, and security, including alarm response
- Follow and enforce company safety directives
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 5 years of related experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in operations and leadership roles
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced skills in Excel and Outlook preferred)
- Healthcare supply chain or distribution environment experience preferred
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on operational needs
