In-Store Retail Merchandiser & Auditor (Gig / Per-Visit) CMC Sales & Marketing | Orange & Los Angeles County, CA: CMC Sales & Marketing is seeking independent contractors to provide supplemental in-store coverage in Southern California markets where we do not have dedicated full-time staff. This is a 1099 independent contractor role — not an employee position. Contractors determine their own methods, maintain their own tools, and are free to perform similar services for other companies.
Scope of Work
- Complete monthly store visits at agreed-upon retail locations within your geographic area
- Conduct in-store audits and submit reports via mobile platform
- Verify and correct product placement per approved schematics
- Stock product from backroom to sales floor
- Capture before-and-after photos as part of each visit report
- Communicate professionally with store personnel as needed
Retail banners may include: Albertsons, Vons, Pavilions, Ralph's, Stater Bros., Smart & Final, Sprouts, and Vallarta — determined by your location.
Contractor Requirements
- Located in Orange County or Los Angeles County
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Fluent English — professional interaction with store staff is required
- Smartphone capable of running the web-based reporting app
- Ability to fulfill agreed-upon store visits consistently each month
- Retail or grocery experience a plus, not required
Contractor Terms
- Paid per completed store visit
- Store count determined collaboratively based on your location and availability
- This is a 1099 independent contractor arrangement — contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses
- Contractors are free to offer similar services to other clients
