Territory Sales Manager

CMC Partners is representing a major U.S. construction materials producer in a confidential search for a Territory Sales Manager based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading, publicly listed building materials organization as they look to build out a new division and expand their market presence across the region. The business has a strong national footprint, a highly respected cement platform, and significant investment being made into modernized production and distribution capabilities.
We are looking for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in cement sales ideally, although candidates from aggregates, ready mix, concrete admixtures, asphalt, or similar construction materials markets will also be considered.
This position will suit someone who is both relationship-focused and commercially sharp — someone who can think “blue collar” but operate “white collar.” The right individual will be comfortable working closely with contractors, producers, distributors, and internal operations teams while helping establish and grow a key regional market.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing customer relationships across the assigned territory
- Building out market share for a growing regional cement/materials platform
- Identifying new business opportunities across contractors, producers, and distribution channels
- Supporting pricing, volume, forecasting, and customer strategy
- Working closely with operations, logistics, and senior leadership to ensure strong customer service and supply reliability
- Acting as the commercial face of the business across the local market
Ideal background:
- Cement sales experience highly preferred
- Open to aggregates, ready mix, concrete admixtures, asphalt, or adjacent heavy materials sales backgrounds
- Proven experience managing customer relationships in construction materials or industrial markets
- Strong commercial awareness around pricing, margins, supply, logistics, and market demand
- Comfortable developing a territory and building long-term customer partnerships
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Salt Lake City, UT area
- Street-smart, relationship-led, and able to operate effectively with both field-level customers and senior leadership
Compensation package:
- Target base salary around $120,000
- Bonus package around 10%
