Essential Duties
- To perform all preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on equipment and maintain documentation and records.
- Must be able to drive company vehicles between buildings and to vendors.
- To troubleshoot all emergency repair situations, and work towards eliminating down time.
- To handle and complete all machine changes and improvements plant wide.
- Utilize skilled trade experience to assist in larger company projects, while completing daily routine duties.
- Facilitate service contracts (landscaping, snow removal, fire prevention, and cleaning).
- Facility maintenance, including preventative maintenance
- Participate in the Corporate Safety committee.
- Responsible for maintaining OSHA logs, such as Lockout Tag Out as related to maintenance.
- Maintain maintenance parts inventory and stay with in Maintenance budget.
- Keep Manufacturing Management informed of any maintenance or facility issues.
- To coordinate the functions of the maintenance team.
- Keep work areas clean, neat and organized.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in skilled trades areas.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Able to lift minimum of 50 pounds.
- Work well with peers and management.
- High aptitude for problem solving in a production setting.
- Self-motivated and able to independently perform job responsibilities.
- Very dependable, including availability to be called in for emergency repairs during off hours.
- High mechanical aptitude.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year minimum of previous experience in skilled trades areas
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be certified by CMC Group Insurance carrier.
- Climbing – ascending and descending
- Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking
- Pushing, pulling and using push cart,
- lifting up to 50-75 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects
- Fingering, grasping and feeling.
- Talking, hearing and repetitive motion
- Very heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, such as paper rolls.
- Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
- Subject to noise.
- Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, and climbing.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes and vapors.
- Required to function in narrow aisles
