Are you an experienced and skilled driver with a knack for precision and efficiency? Due to growth and expansion, we are currently searching for a dedicated Jockey Truck Operator to join our team. As a Jockey Truck Operator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the movement and positioning of equipment within our repair and storage facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Move and spot equipment, including container chassis and empty/loaded containers on wheels, to meet the operational needs of our facilities.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth flow of equipment in and out of designated areas.
- Operate a jockey truck with precision and attention to safety standards.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues promptly.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard or warehouse environment.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred. 1 year of forklift experience in a yard or warehouse environment is also preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Good eyesight for precise movement and spotting.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good driving skills with a focus on safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
