**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services efficiently on our 2nd/3rd shift from 6pm to 3am Sunday Monday - Friday.
**Duties:**
- Receive and prioritize customer orders for transportation services
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor routes using GPS systems (samsara) and provide necessary guidance to drivers
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery status and any delays
- Utilize transportation management software to track shipments and update information
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in a dispatching role preferred
- Proficiency in using phone systems and TMS and GPS Tracking software applications
- Knowledge of (TMW and Samsara Experience preferred), or similar systems is a plus
- Familiarity with automotive freight, transportation management, and 3PL operations
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately
**Skills:**
- Dependable with very good attendance
- Excellent phone etiquette skills
- Proficiency in using phone systems for dispatching purposes
- Knowledge of freight operations and logistics terminology
- Experience with TMW and Samsara , or similar systems is a plus or similar dispatch software
- Understanding of transportation management principles
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Familiarity with GPS systems for route optimization
