Counter Sales Position

Part Time/ Evenings and Weekends Mandatory

Job Summary

The counter sales position is critical to ensuring customer have an outstanding experience while visiting the store. The individual must be knowledgeable of the products offered and be able to assist with most duties in the store.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greet and interact with customers
• Answer customer questions and make sales suggestions
• Answer the phone and take phone orders
• Have working knowledge of product offerings
• Help with restocking
• Perform general cleaning duties; dust, sweep, mop, wash windows, take out trash
• Operate Point of Sale (POS) system
• Assist with preparation of products (i.e. Waffle cones)
• Have Fun!!!!

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Ability to operate POS system and count back change
• Ability to work well with others, listen well and follow direction
• Must be customer oriented with good personality and manners
• Must read and speak English and have good communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Current student or High School diploma/equivalent
• Previous sales or retail experience helpful, but not necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods in retail store environ
