Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the aesthetic and protective qualities of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and sealants accurately.
- Perform residential painting tasks including interior walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work.
- Execute commercial and industrial painting projects using specialized techniques like airless spraying and industrial coatings.
- Conduct surface preparation for renovation projects involving masonry, stucco, concrete finishing, framing, carpentry, drywall installation, and masonry work.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols during all phases of work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential and commercial projects.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints or schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, scrapers; power tools including sanders and sprayers; and specialized equipment like scaffolding or lifts.
- Familiarity with color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic consistency across projects.
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and estimating paint quantities.
- Construction site experience demonstrating knowledge of safety standards and efficient workflow practices.
