Job Summary
The cashier is the main point of contact for customers. This role requires handling money accurately, activating fuel pumps, selling store merchandise, and maintaining a clean facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Operate cash registers, barcode scanners, and credit card machines. Handle cash, make correct change, and process lottery or tobacco sales.
- Control Fuel Pumps: Authorize fuel sales, monitor gas pumps, and help customers with pump issues.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors, answer questions about prices, and check IDs for age-restricted items like alcohol and tobacco.
- Restock and Inventory: Fill shelves, stock coolers, check expiration dates, and track low inventory.
- Store Maintenance: Sweep floors, clean restrooms, wipe down counter tops, and empty trash cans.
Pay: From $15.25 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
