Construction Project Manager

CM Advisors, LLC is seeking a Construction Project Manager or Assistant Construction Project Manager who has general knowledge of all trades in commercial construction project oversight on various construction types of projects including industrial, retail, commercial, land improvements and high rise multifamily.

The position requires both office time and on-site construction inspections as a representative of various construction lenders or real estate investors and requires excellent writing skills. The position will eventually require limited travel within the continental US with a focus on the western states in the immediate future.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Performing regular periodic site inspections of on-going projects to determine (a) project completion percentages of various trades (b) constructed in general conformance with plans and specifications (c) attend OAC meetings
• Evaluation of Pending/Potential/Current Change Orders
• Basic Cost Estimating
• Preparation of regular status reports on various project assignments
• Reading of construction plans, rough quantity take-off of all construction trades for estimating purposes
• General knowledge of the construction process from commencement to completion, including shop drawings, scheduling, contract review , budgeting and construction sequencing.
• Ensuring compliance with all building, safety, and governmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering OR
• 5 years of field experience as a project superintendent/project management level for permanent position in Orange County
• Advanced understanding of construction processes, principles, materials, and means and methods.
• Great time management and organizational skills.
• The ability to communicate clearly.
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
