Things You'll Do
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis.
- Perform major electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, engine and transmission repairs and replacements, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Perform electrical diagnostics, welding repairs, equipment and plant maintenance, and more.
- Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs as needed.
- Maintain tools as required to perform job (we'll provide you with a tool allowance and cell phone stipend).
- Ensure a safe, clean, and health-conscious work environment at all times.
- At least 1 year experience as a field mechanic and 2-4 years' experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Valid CDL
- Must be able to obtain department of transportation (DOT) medical card.
- Machining experience (lathe, mill, line boring ,or similar equipment) strongly preferred.
- Solid background in diesel systems, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently in the field.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and high-quality work.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to move at least 50 pounds.
