Implementation Manager

CLX Engineering
GA, GA Full Time
POSTED ON 3/10/2026 CLOSED ON 4/27/2026

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Implementation Manager position at CLX Engineering?

Description

CLX Engineering is looking for a driven Implementation Manager to join our team supporting projects at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our project leaders and on-site technical teams—turning project plans into real-world results.

You’ll coordinate people, processes, and progress across multiple stakeholders to keep complex automation projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. It’s a hands-on, fast-paced role where strong communication and organizational skills make a daily impact. As a key member of the project delivery team, you’ll also collaborate with the PMO before project kickoff—helping shape upcoming initiatives while supporting the smooth closeout of current ones.

This position is hands-on and field-based, not an IT or office role. The work involves early morning and occasional night shifts, both indoors and outdoors in active airport environments. The role can be physically demanding at times, requiring lifting, moving equipment, and working around airport vehicles and systems. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating and communicating with vendors and subcontractors on-site.

While there are some administrative tasks, this is not a typical desk job—workspace conditions can be cramped and shared. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, problem-solving in real time, and working where the action happens.

This exempt, salaried position reports to the Director of Project Management. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Atlanta International Airport, be able to pass a TSA-level background check and be willing to travel up to 30%.

Join CLX Engineering and be part of a team that keeps the systems behind one of the world’s busiest airports running flawlessly.

What You Will Do & Be Responsible For:

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Serve as the on-site liaison between Project Managers and automation engineers, ensuring technical and project goals are aligned.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and customer representatives to meet milestones.
  • Identify and help resolve potential delays, dependencies, and risks.

Customer Interface & Communication

  • Act as the primary customer contact during implementation.
  • Communicate progress, manage expectations, and ensure customer milestones are met.
  • Facilitate clear, solution-oriented discussions between engineering and customer teams.

Technical & Administrative Support

  • Support engineers with documentation, reporting, and system handoff materials.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and commissioning activities to ensure system integrity.

Process & Performance Management

  • Track progress against project plans, updating schedules, resources, and change logs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements for future projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Project Management, or equivalent technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong experience with project coordination, customer communication, and multi-stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Planner, Lists, Loop, Teams) and general project tracking tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills—must thrive in dynamic environments and manage multiple moving parts.
  • Proven ability coordinate technical experts, manage competing priorities, and keep complex projects aligned and on schedule.
  • Candidates must be positive, solutions oriented, and able to make sound judgements quickly.
  • A proven record of paying attention to the details, holding people accountable, and communicating project status to all relevant stakeholders.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Possess sufficient understanding of automation systems (PLCs, controls, sensors, networks) to recognize issues, ask the right questions, and facilitate effective troubleshooting by the technical team.
  • Experience in industrial automation, systems integration, or large-scale technical project execution.
