C&L Ward, Michigan's leading home improvement company, is seeking a Pre-finish Technician to join our operations team. Since 1972, our company has professionally installed replacement windows, entry doors, roofing, siding and decks for thousands of clients across Michigan.
We are currently looking for someone who likes to work with their hands, who has experience with painting or staining. Looking for a team member to learn the preparation and packaging of windows, doors, and trim. Responsibilities:
- Prepping windows, doors, & trim to be stained or painted.
- Inspecting all products for internal and external damage and report any damages per company policy.
- Prep products & apply stain or paint to clients' specifications and ensure flawless application.
- Repackage and prepare materials to be installed into client's home.
- Stage orders accurately and place in appropriate area.
- Operate forklift, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Ability to do heavy physical work such as lifting & carrying.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous, respectful manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers.
- Ability to complete task or assignment despite encountering obstacles.
- Ability to read, understand, and follows safety procedures.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 7am- 4pm
- Saturdays as needed
Experience:
- Paint/Staining: 1 year (Required)
- Desire to work with hands and has small tool experience.
- Requires heavy physical work - heavy lifting, pushing, carrying, or pulling required of objects of 45 or more pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 60%) of job.
