Rate: up to $70/hr

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Copywriter / Copy Sup to join our client's team on a temp to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the pharmaceutical advertising environment, combining creative excellence with rigorous regulatory adherence, and essential experience creating materials targeting Health Care Professionals (HCPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Content Development: Develop compelling, persuasive, and brand-consistent copy for a wide range of advertising channels, including detailed manuscripts and promotional materials.
- Strategic Collaboration: Actively contribute to and collaborate on overarching content and communication strategies.
- Quality Assurance & Editing: Conduct thorough overviews, reviews, edits, and proofreading of all copy to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established brand standards.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Annotate & Reference Prescribing Information (PI): Accurately reference and annotate all claims and data against the official Prescribing Information (PI) for medical/legal review.
- Ensure all content strictly adheres to legal and regulatory compliance standards within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Team & Process Management: Oversee content creation processes and provide guidance/mentorship to junior Copywriters.
- Industry Expertise: Maintain a current understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and evolving compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- Industry Experience (Mandatory): A minimum of 4 years of professional experience working specifically within a pharmaceutical advertising agency setting.
- Audience Expertise (Mandatory): Must have demonstrable experience developing pharmaceutical deliverables specifically targeting Health Care Professionals (HCPs).
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in copywriting, content creation, and messaging strategy.
Regulatory Skillset (Required)
- Must have hands-on experience referencing and annotating Prescribing Information (PI) for regulatory submission.
- Strong familiarity with pharmaceutical legal and regulatory compliance standards.
- Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio of relevant, sharable samples that demonstrate success in pharmaceutical copywriting, especially for HCP audiences.
