The Position
Club Sportiva’s ideal candidate for the Director of Corporate Event Sales role will be a very experienced, take-charge professional with ability to manage the pre-sale, sale and logistics of numerous corporate and private events.
This candidate will be comfortable with rolling up his/her sleeves, taking a leadership role and lead a dedicated events team, including hiring additional event sales managers and coordinators, while growing their own responsibilities within the company.
Responsibilities
- Combine Inside & Outside Event Sales management, handling inbound leads and developing own sales leads for Corporate and Group Events sales.
- Document customer interactions through CRM, forecasting pipelines and reporting on successes as well as concerns/issues to management
- Plan, design and produce client events while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
- Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
- Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities (Operations or contract)
- Ensure facilities are well presented, including all event details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, and more.
- Meet and/or exceeding sales goals and quota
- Manage team sales goals and quota
- Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
- Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day
- Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes
- Must be able to works nights and weekends depending on event
Requirements
- Proven event management experience
- Ability to lead and manage staff
- Impressive portfolio of previously managed events
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Google Suite, MS Office, and CRM proficiency
- Bachelors in Event Management, hospitality, or related field

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary dependent upon experience
- On Target Earnings: $75-$90K depending on experience
- Health, Vision, Dental, Retirement and PTO
