Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lead Pilates Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in group fitness, personal training, and possess a strong understanding in anatomy. Our Pilates Instructors provide safe and effective group instruction in accordance with all Club Pilates guidelines and expectations.
Duties:
- Conduct Pilates classes for groups (Intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private training) as schedule by management pursuant to Club Pilates standards
- Participate in monthly Lead Instructor conference calls and subsequent training of staff in the topics covered on the monthly calls
- Manage studio instructor schedule and ensure class types, times, levels, and instructors scheduled are ideal to maximize occupancy and member satisfaction
- Manage sub requests and adjust schedule accordingly
- Stay up to date with and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
- Track and review other instructors for proficiency and performance
- Mentor instructors as needed to ensure their teaching reflects Club Pilates standards
- Plan and provide member workshops
- Plan and execute instructor workshops
- Participate in networking and community events as needed to help generate new business
- Educate clients on proper Pilates techniques and form
- Design personalized Pilates programs based on client’s needs and goals
- Guide clients through exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and overall fitness
- Maintain a clean and organized gym environment
- Assist the General Manager and Sales staff in membership sales through intro classes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 450-hour comprehensive Pilates education (minimum education to include Mat, Reformer, Chair, and Springboard)
- Comfortable learning and adding TRX, Functional Standing Movement (Barrre), and TriggerPoint modalities to repertoire
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology
- Experience in group fitness instruction
- Demonstrated group reformer instruction abilities with ability to modify for different individuals in class
- Experience teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus-based group class
- Ability to maintain open availability for a minimum of 15 hours (4 shifts) per week
- A passion for learning and willingness to complete continued education trainings or workshops

- Ability to work harmoniously with the public, management, and other instructors
- Ability to create engaging and effective workout programs
Job Type: Part-time/Full-time
Pay: $30 - $50 per hour instruction based on experience level. Additional hourly pay at $25/hour for administrative hours.
