District Lead Instructor

Reports To: Regional Manager

Position Summary

The District Lead Instructor is responsible for the day-to-day success of all instructors within their assigned district. This leader partners closely with the District Manager, General Managers, and Lead Instructors to develop exceptional teaching talent, uphold Club Pilates programming and instructional standards, and create an outstanding experience. The District Lead Instructor establishes and maintains a strong instructor culture rooted in the company's Core Values while ensuring every instructor reflects the organization's commitment to safety, professionalism, collaboration, and excellence.

As a member of the Leadership Team, the District Lead Instructor plays a key role in executing strategic initiatives, contributing to annual planning, and ensuring consistency in instructional quality across the district. This position serves as the bridge between studio operations and the instructor team, driving instructional excellence, developing future instructor leaders, and creating scalable systems that support the continued growth of the organization.

Instructor Standards & Development

·        Establish and maintain teaching standards across all studios.

·        Coach, mentor, and develop Lead Instructors and instructors through regular feedback and Quarterly Conversations.

·        Partner with General Managers to coach instructors through performance concerns, accountability conversations, recognition, and professional development.

·        Ensure instructors consistently uphold Club Pilates programming, safety, cueing, and member experience standards.

Recruiting & Instructor Growth

·        Conduct instructor auditions for prospective instructors and Teacher Training students.

·        Actively recruit prospective instructors and Teacher Training candidates.

·        Partner with the District Manager and Regional Manager to recruit, develop, and retain exceptional instructors.

·        Support onboarding and mentorship of newly hired instructors.

·        Foster a collaborative instructor culture rooted in the company's Core Values.

Class Coverage & Scheduling

·        Own instructor class coverage across the district including all last minute call offs

·        Create and finalize instructor schedules in partnership with studio leadership.

·        Develop future Lead Instructors and district leadership candidates.

Education & Programming

·        Host quarterly instructor meetings.

·        Facilitate monthly instructor workshops.

·        Support Teacher Training initiatives.

·        Assist with member workshops and specialty programming.

Leadership & Collaboration

·        Lead Bi-weekly Lead Instructors Meetings

·        Attend Leadership L10 Meetings

·        Support other Districts with instructor development, class coverage, auditions, recruiting, and leadership initiatives as needed.

Equipment & Studio Standards

·        Oversee equipment maintenance and upkeep.

·        Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

·        Certified Club Pilates Lead Instructor in good standing.

·        Minimum three years of teaching experience.

·        Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.

·        Ability to travel regularly.

·        Passion for developing instructors, future leaders, and exceptional member experiences.
