What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at Club K-9?
We’re looking for a hands-on, people-and-pets-loving Supervisor to help lead daily operations across guest services, boarding, daycare, and bathing. In this role, you’ll ensure every guest—both human and furry—has a safe, smooth, and welcoming experience.
You’ll oversee shift execution, support team performance, uphold safety and operational standards, and step in as Manager on Duty when needed. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy leading teams while staying actively involved, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise daily operations across front desk, boarding, daycare, and bathing teams
- Ensure team members follow company policies, attendance expectations, dress code, and performance standards
- Oversee guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and a high level of customer service
- Resolve client concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency
- Monitor staffing levels, manage breaks, and adjust schedules to support labor goals
- Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and recognition
- Administer medications and monitor pet health, escalating concerns as needed
- Conduct routine facility walk-throughs to maintain cleanliness, safety, and quality care standards
- Support clear communication between all departments
- Reconcile cash drawers and ensure accurate invoicing and documentation
- Serve as Manager on Duty, handling escalations and critical situations when leadership is not onsite
- Assist with both front desk responsibilities and hands-on play yard supervision
What We’re Looking For
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in customer service, hospitality, or animal care
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate, coach, and support a diverse team
- Comfortable managing staffing levels and making real-time labor decisions
- Knowledge of pet care best practices, including medication administration
- Professional, positive attitude with a strong customer service focus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Comfortable walking, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to observe and respond to animal behavior, movement, and vocalizations to ensure safety and well-being (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
