Overview
The Assistant Upholstery Technician is self-motivated, responsible, punctual, organized, with excellent time management and communication skills. This position supports the physical repair, replace, or create upholstery for Gym equipment. Upholsterers use a variety of materials, such as Vinyl, leather and padding so the functionality, and aesthetic appeal of their work. This position reports to the Facility Manager.
Full Time or Part Time opportunities (non-exempt) $18-$21/hr
Responsibilities and Duties:

Travel to pre-determined locations within a geographical region.

Repair, replace, or create upholstery for Gym equipment.

Use variety of materials such as: vinyl, leather, padding, and other materials.

Perform other duties as assigned, with the ability to perform professionally in a fast-paced environment.

Complete reports and computer work daily for assigned tasks.

Duties will include physical effort, to include lifting to a minimum of 50lbs. Bending, squatting, reaching, standing for extended periods of time and use of ladders and extension ladders with or without reasonable accommodations.

Actively assists the team in the completion of goals and cost saving and accountable for actions and results regarding the maintenance of facility and equipment repairs within assigned region.

Leaves club with equipment in working condition and communicates appropriately.

Required High School Diploma or equivalency.

Required to maintain a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance and a clean DMV report.

Required electronic and mechanical trouble shooting skills.

Knowledge of, and experience with all tools, equipment and material used for repairs is required.

Ability to understand technical documents required.

Trade school certification preferred.
