Summary:
The Legal Assistant performs various tasks to support the Law Department lawyers such as document preparation and research. This role requires strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and understanding of legal processes, procedures, and terminology.
As A Customer Experience Manager You Will:
? Communicating with all necessary and convenient company departments and employees on behalf of the General Counsel
? Manage the General Counsel's calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments.
? Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining the Law Department's litigation tracking and management system
? Assist with the management of ongoing claims and cases, including tracking deadlines and court dates.
? Coordinate and prepare materials for meetings, hearings, and other claims or law related engagements
? Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case law to support the General Counsel
? Summarize findings and prepare reports and memorandums
? Prepare, edit, and process at the direction of supervising attorneys' legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
? Maintain database and files with organized records of all legal documents and correspondence for easy retrieval and reference
? Interact with the general public and answer phones, serving as a primary point of contact for the Law Department
? Communicate regularly with clients, customers, lawyers, and courthouse personnel
? Maintain a positive attitude, be flexible and dependable, and effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
? Organize and maintain sensitive information and documents confidentially, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and privileged communication rules
? Provide comprehensive administrative support to the General Counsel, Law Department employees, and company executives when directed
What We Are Looking For In You:
? A minimum of 2 years of experience in a law office or claims adjuster setting
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint, One Drive, and general computer literacy
? Transcription skills to prepare documents are preferred
? Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document management systems.
? Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
