Project Engineer - Residential Construction

Currently seeking a Project Engineer for a High End Residential Construction company in Westchester County, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture. A minimum of 3 years experience working as an engineer or architect is required, and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Procore is a must. This is a full-time, on-site role, five days a week.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical role based full time on one high-end residential project. You'll work directly with the Construction Supervisor to make sure the house is built exactly to the plans and specifications. You'll check what's being built against what was drawn, catch conflicts before they turn into rework, and keep the project team, subcontractors, architects, and designers working from the same current set of documents.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

• Assist the Construction Supervisor with field layout
• Check field dimensions against plans and specs, and flag discrepancies early
• Review shop drawings for conformance with design documents
• Perform take-offs
• Create coordinated drawings for the project team and subcontractors
• Manage plans, submittals, and RFIs in Procore
• Resolve field and drawing coordination issues with subcontractors, architects, and designers
• Step in on site supervision as needed, and cover other projects when the schedule calls for it

Qualifications of the Project Engineer:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• 3 years of experience as an engineer or architect
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Procore
• Able to work on site in Westchester County five days a week
• Strong technical and organizational skills with close attention to detail
• Proactive about chasing down answers, and comfortable working directly with subs, architects, and designers
