What You’ll Do
As a Mats Department Team Member, you’ll play a key role in processing and preparing floor mats for distribution. This position keeps our production floor running efficiently and safely.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving mats from dryers via conveyor system
- Sorting mats by size, color, and product type
- Operating commercial mat rolling machines safely and efficiently
- Using an overhead hoist system to lift and stage mat bags
- Inspecting mats to ensure they meet quality standards
- Removing and staging rejected mats according to company procedures
- Organizing and storing rolled mats to support accurate route fulfillment
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
- Reporting equipment issues or repeated quality concerns to your Supervisor
This is a fast-paced production environment where you’ll stay active throughout your shift. You can expect:
- Exposure to heat, steam, and noise
- Continuous material handling
- Repetitive motion
- Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Pushing/pulling carts weighing 800 lbs
- Standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work safely in a production environment
- Ability to distinguish between different mat colors
