Andrologist

Qualifications

• Relevant previous andrology experience
• Must have a strong attention to detail with solid interpersonal skills
• Possess clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written
• Or a post “retirement” position to stay active in a laboratory setting
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing while loading the hormone analyzer
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time (rarely)

Responsibilities

• The Andrologist is responsible for performing semen analysis, sperm thawing, IUI preps, and operation of the hormone assay machine within our fertility practice
• Performs semen analysis and IUI preps
• Thaw sperm specimens for IUI
• Manages the daily start-up of the endocrine assay instruments and operates the hormone assay machine
• Ensure safe handling of specimens by following the safety guidelines of the laboratory
• Maintain laboratory equipment and calibrations and adhere to quality standards
