The Shipping Data Support Technician is responsible for coordinating the flow of work orders to packing stations and supporting the preparation of outbound shipments. This role focuses on processing and maintaining accurate shipping documentation, scheduling freight pickups, and ensuring shipments are completed in line with customer requirements. The position also supports the shipping team with data entry and administrative tasks to keep operations organized and running smoothly.
Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Hourly rate of pay: $20.25 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Assign work orders to packing stations to support daily shipping operations
- Prepare, review, and print bills of lading and export documentation
- Record and submit Advance Shipment Notifications (ASNs)
- Post and scan completed shipments in the ERP system
- Coordinate and schedule freight pickups with carriers
- Maintain accurate customer routing and packaging specifications
- Support the shipping team with administrative tasks as needed
- Assist with packaging products according to customer specifications when required
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and data entry
- Ability to use computer systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Effective communication skills to work with internal teams and external freight carriers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic math skills for verifying counts, weights, and shipment details
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks throughout the shift
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or administrative support preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or work at a computer for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent interaction with office and warehouse environments
- Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes
