Job Summary:

Clovernook Healthcare in Cincinnati is seeking a full-time RN Unit Manager to supervise day-to-day nursing activities for our skilled unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required

• Assist the DON/ADON in directing day-to-day nursing activities

• Ensure that reference material (i.e., PDR'S, Federal and State Regulations, etc.) maintained at the nurses' stations is current

• Ensure that all nursing service personnel comply with the procedures set forth in the Nursing Service Procedures Manual

• Assist in coordinating nursing with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care

• Meet with the nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the department's services, programs, and activities

• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary

• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary

• Develop work assignments, and/or assist in completing and performing such tasks

Qualifications:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program

• Must have, as a minimum, 2 year(s) of experience as a supervisor in LTC

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN

• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
