What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Clovernook Center for the Blind?
Job Summary: Keeps production moving by performing a variety of tasks to complete work in process to meet production demands and deadlines.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Crease, pack, collate, operate fastener insertion machine(s), operate basic production tools (including but not limited to cutting and tabbing) and/or complete other assigned tasks required for the preparation, processing and packaging of products.
- Production quantity reports completed accurately
- Maintain productivity levels defined by supervisor.
- Help train new employees.
- Keep immediate work area clean and free of debris.
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
- Work overtime as required by supervisor to meet production demands and deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Dexterity, mobility, endurance, and hand-body coordination skills to complete assigned tasks and meet production requirements. Ability to lift 50 pounds is preferred.
- Mechanical abilities, machine experience in production field, and fork lift operator preferred
- Printing experience preferred
- Individual must be sighted
- Post - offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
