Job Summary
We are seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team. The Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and positive service experience. This role involves interpreting customer concerns, preparing repair estimates, coordinating repairs, and explaining services and costs in a clear and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers upon arrival and discuss vehicle concerns and service needs
- Answer customer inquiries in person and over the phone
- Interpret customer concerns and communicate vehicle issues to technicians
- Estimate the cost and time required for a wide range of automotive repairs
- Develop detailed repair estimates considering labor, materials, and supplies
- Prepare and manage repair orders by accurately documenting vehicle problems and symptoms
- Advise customers on proper vehicle maintenance and care
- Recommend services or merchandise when appropriate
Qualifications & Skills
- Service Advisor or similar position in the automotive industry with basic automotive and tire knowledge
- Neat, professional appearance
- Possess a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stress and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Dependable, enthusiastic, and customer-service oriented
- Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds, and capable of sitting, standing, bending, and walking throughout the workday
