Position Overview
Clover Phoenix Security & Consulting is expanding our Mobile Response Program in the Austin area and is seeking dependable Level III and Level IV Security Officers for flexible, app-based security response work.
This is not a traditional hourly security shift.
Officers make themselves available through a mobile dispatch system and may accept nearby response opportunities based on location and availability. You are paid for each completed callout, not for the time you remain online waiting for calls.
This opportunity is ideal for licensed officers looking for flexible supplemental work without committing to a fixed schedule.
Compensation
- Level III: $23 per completed callout
- Level IV: $25 per completed callout
Each completed response includes a one-hour minimum payment, even if the call only takes 15–30 minutes.
If a response lasts longer than one hour, additional time is paid at your applicable hourly rate in 15-minute increments.
Call volume varies. Some periods may have multiple responses, while others may be slower. Being available does not guarantee a specific number of calls or earnings.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to dispatched alarm and property-check calls
- Conduct exterior property and site inspections
- Check doors, windows, grounds, parking areas, and vehicles as directed
- Observe and document suspicious activity, damage, or security concerns
- Complete reports and submit required photographs through a mobile app
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain a safe, professional, non-confrontational presence
- Follow assignment-specific response procedures and post instructions
Requirements
- Active Texas Level III or Level IV Security License
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid driver’s license
- Current auto insurance
- Smartphone with reliable data service
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Flexible availability, including evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays, is preferred
Response Area
Mobile response officers must live within a practical response distance of Central Austin.
Coverage generally extends from approximately Georgetown to the north and Buda to the south, depending on actual response time.
Officers should generally be able to reach assignments near Downtown Austin / ZIP code 78701 within approximately 20 minutes.
Schedule
Mobile response opportunities may occur 24/7.
Peak callout hours are generally between:
5:00 PM–8:00 AM
You choose when you are available. There is no fixed schedule and no guaranteed number of callouts.
What Clover Phoenix Provides
Selected mobile response officers may receive company-issued equipment and response materials for active assignments.
Company equipment remains the property of Clover Phoenix and must be returned when participation in the program ends.
