Job Summary
The CT Tech Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing and operating the CT Technician customized corporate training support program designed to prepare VMFH Radiography trainees to upskill in the field of CT Technology. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Virgina Mason Franciscan Health Diagnostic Imaging Department to support a diverse population of students in their course work, fostering an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment. The Instructor will provide instructional support for students pursuing the 16 CE credits from the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) CT Basics program, which satisfies the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) 16-credit structured education requirement. Additionally, this instructor will provide weekly On-The-Job Skills training to trainees at VMFH clinical sites.
Responsibilities
Provide support and review of the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) CT Basics program to support trainees preparing for the ASRT CT Basics Exam.
Maintain and manage training environment, equipment, tools and supplies for OJT support at VMFH clinical sites.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of professionalism and mutual respect with students. Model positive and professional behavior at all times.
Maintain complete and accurate student records. Maintain a safe environment through instruction, policy and continuous evaluation of environment.
Qualifications
A minimum of two (3) years of full-time work experience as a CT Technologist.
A minimum of one year of teaching or precepting experience, or lead technologist.
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography.
