CEIS | Clover Leaf is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to support the implementation of a site- or project-specific quality program for a DOE or nuclear industry project. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role is responsible for ensuring that all fabricated or installed items meet applicable Code, jurisdictional, customer, and internal requirements. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in quality assurance for nuclear projects and a strong understanding of regulatory and industry standards. All work will be on-site in Jackson, South Carolina.
Responsibilities
Directs quality activities on a project and/or site, communicating with engineering, project management, procurement, fabrication/construction, and other project personnel to ensure QA goals and objectives are met.
Develops a project/site Quality Plan to address all customer requirements and ensure full integration within the Quality Assurance Program.
Prepares project/site quality-related procedures to meet Code, jurisdictional, customer, and internal requirements.
Participates in Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) activities.
Trains quality personnel assigned to the project.
Liaises with customers, regulatory authorities, subcontractors, and internal departments on matters related to quality.
Represents the project/site during customer, regulatory, and internal quality audits.
Identifies quality problems, initiates non-conformance reports or corrective action requests, and verifies implementation of dispositions.
Provides work assignments to project/site QA personnel and prepares reports on the effectiveness of the project QA program.
Assists in ensuring satisfactory performance in support of CEIS | Clover Leaf objectives.
Ensures that quality activities related to fabrication and installation are properly planned and controlled.
Supervises all QA/QC personnel assigned to the project and/or site.
Maintains departmental costs within budget.
Interfaces externally with customers, suppliers, jurisdictional authorities, and unionized site personnel; and internally with senior management and project leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
710 years of quality assurance experience in the nuclear industry.
Demonstrated management and leadership experience.
Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Strong working knowledge of the following codes and standards:
10 CFR 50 Appendix B
10 CFR Part 21
ASME NQA-1
AWS D1.1 and D1.5
Prior hands-on experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21 is preferred.
ASME NQA-1 Nuclear Lead Auditor Certification is an asset.
Physical ability to work in both office and field (project trailer) environments, including prolonged standing/walking and entry into confined or awkward spaces to perform verification activities.
