RN – PICU
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Details:
- Schedule: Nights – 3×11.5 hrs per week with every other weekend required
- Contract: 89 days
- Weekly Pay: Local – $2,228/week ($64.58/hr) | Travel – $2,520/week ($73/hr)
Role Overview:
The PICU RN delivers specialized care to critically ill newborns, ensuring high-quality, family-centered treatment. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication titration, management of vents, tracheostomies, and gastrostomy tubes, and providing continuous monitoring in a high-acuity environment. The RN collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, supervises support staff, documents patient progress, and maintains safety and clinical standards.
Requirements:
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Competent in vent/trach/g-tube care, A-lines, and medication titration
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- No RTO accepted
