What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Engineer position at Cloudoku AI?
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and scale production-grade cloud and on-prem environments. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation, along with the ability to work onsite from day one in Phoenix, AZ.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
• 3 years supporting production on-prem environments with technologies such as Redis (Enterprise), Kafka, Elasticsearch, Astronomer, or similar
• 2 years of Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or equivalent tools
• 2 years managing Google Cloud production environments, including foundations and managed services like PSC, Interconnect, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Memory store
• 2 years deploying COTS applications in Kubernetes environments such as OpenShift or GKE
• Strong automation experience using Ansible, Shell scripting, Python, or Java
• Hands-on cluster management on Red Hat Linux 8, including configurations, upgrades, and migrations
• Proven experience leading infrastructure migrations across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Deep Linux performance monitoring, security setup, troubleshooting, tuning, and patching experience
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including change management, incident management, RFCs, problem management, and RCA
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with a focus on automation and operational efficiency
