Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current inventory
- Assist with stocking, inventory management, and store cleanliness to create an inviting shopping environment
- Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support supervising staff by helping train new team members and ensuring store policies are followed
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in retail or grocery settings
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership capabilities in a retail environment
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and clearly communicate product features
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate sales transactions and inventory management
- Skilled in merchandising, stocking, and maintaining attractive displays
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and sales calculations
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is a plus
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude toward upselling and sales growth
- Experience in Advertising or willing to learn
