Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Development: Define and maintain a forward-looking infrastructure roadmap that supports current technologies and prepares for emerging trends and upgrades.
- Team Leadership and Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers and specialists, setting clear goals and objectives and providing ongoing feedback.
- Operations and Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of hybrid environments, including on-premises data centers, private, and public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Project Management: Lead the planning and execution of complex infrastructure projects, such as cloud migrations or network redesigns, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the operational security and resilience of the infrastructure stack, collaborating with security and compliance teams to maintain regulatory alignment (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST standards).
- Budget and Vendor Management: Manage infrastructure budgets, forecast expenditures, and oversee the procurement and lifecycle management of hardware/software assets and third-party vendor contracts/SLAs.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Implement enterprise-wide monitoring solutions to proactively detect, diagnose, and resolve performance and capacity issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing costs.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Design, plan, and implement robust disaster recovery (DR) technology and processes, conducting regular tests to ensure organizational resilience.
- Automation and Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation and the implementation of modern practices like Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps principles.
