What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Designer position at Cloud Nine Clothing?
We are looking for a talented, experienced, Spec Technician with good verbal and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Creating size specifications from children’s 12 months to size 16 sleepwear and swimwear for both boys and girls as well as mens sportswear
- Grading
- Evaluating and commenting on fit samples
- Explaining and diagramming for factories how to make corrections to garment construction
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of pattern-making, sewing, and garment construction
- You should have strong product knowledge of children's sleepwear.
- Experience working on boy's and girls' sleepwear for the budget market.
- You should have a strong understanding of knit, and woven fabrications.
- Experience working with a variety of fabrics and fabric finishes.
- You must be; computer savvy, quick to learn, very organized, and detailed oriented,
- Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in the budget sleepwear market.
- Knowledge of File Maker Pro is a plus.
