We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Social Worker (MSW) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will provide psychosocial support, counseling, and case management to patients across inpatient, outpatient, renal, emergency, and community care settings.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically skilled, and passionate about improving health outcomes through expert social work interventions. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to address emotional, social, and environmental barriers to care.
Available Shifts & Units
Renal Clinic
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 4×10 shifts (Weekdays)
- Weekend coverage as needed
Float – Emergency Department & Inpatient Med-Surg
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 5×8 shifts (Monday–Friday)
- Weekend coverage as needed
Outpatient Clinics
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 5×8 shifts (Monday–Friday)
- Weekend coverage as needed

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs
- Provide individual and group therapy, including:
- Crisis intervention
- Behavioral therapy
- Motivational interviewing
- Deliver specialized counseling for:
- Child & family dynamics
- Addiction recovery
- Dementia & Alzheimer’s care
- PTSD
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Developmental disabilities
- Manage case coordination, discharge planning, and post-acute care referrals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers
- Participate in training, quality improvement, and clinical research initiatives
- Apply ICD-10/ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge for documentation and billing support
Requirements
✔ Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) – Required
✔ Minimum 2 years of Social Work experience (medical or clinical preferred)
✔ Strong understanding of behavioral and mental health conditions
✔ Experience in healthcare, hospital, or clinical settings preferred
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in crisis management and intervention
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, including dementia, PTSD, ASD, and developmental disabilities
- Proficiency with EMR systems and medical documentation
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations
- Strong diagnostic and evaluation skills using ICD-10/ICD-9
- Experience with CBT, ABA, and behavioral health assessments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
