Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks, following established recipes and safety standards.
- Support meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure attractive and consistent dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen equipment use.
- Contribute to catering events or special meal services by preparing ingredients or assisting with serving.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and handling procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques such as slicing, knife skills, and meal preparation is beneficial.
- Experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department work can be advantageous for understanding special dietary needs.
- Ability to follow safety standards in production environments and adhere to proper food handling protocols.
