Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services within the store
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell related products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking activities
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing stockroom supplies efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Supervise new team members or interns when necessary, providing guidance on store procedures and customer interactions
- Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and inviting for shoppers
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising or leadership experience in retail or grocery store settings preferred
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and English to connect with diverse customers
