Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising plans, including planograms and schematics, to optimize product placement and store layout.
- Supervise and train staff on visual design principles, store management techniques, and merchandising standards to ensure consistency across locations.
- Coordinate remodeling projects, interior design updates, and store renovations to enhance visual appeal and operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory control processes, including stocking, pricing strategies, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee branding initiatives by maintaining cohesive visual identity through signage, displays, and promotional materials.
- Conduct regular store audits to monitor cleanliness, organization, and adherence to merchandising guidelines.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns that align with merchandising strategies and drive sales growth.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data, forecast inventory needs, and adjust merchandising plans accordingly for respective vendor orders.
- Lead merchandising projects from concept through execution while managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in retail management or merchandising roles with a track record of leading teams effectively.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for creating visual displays and schematics.
- Experience in marketing strategies related to retail environments with a focus on branding consistency.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for communicating with diverse teams or customer bases.
- Knowledge of interior design principles, remodeling processes, and visual design techniques for retail spaces.
- Familiarity with store management systems including POS operations, inventory management software, and cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that inspire team collaboration and development.
