About Cloth & Flame

Cloth & Flame creates temporary venues and culinary experiences wherever they can be imagined, while working to conserve land by paying our partner properties for low-impact use. Our events combine great food and unexpected locations with immersive programming to foster connections in a new way.

We believe that people only care about what they have a connection to — and we aim to establish more of these connections. Connection with a place, with others, and with themselves.

About the Role

We are expanding our team in California and Montana and are looking for passionate, professional Front of House Event Staff and Bar Staff to join us for upcoming events. If you thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments, take pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences, and love the idea of working in stunning and unexpected locations — we want to hear from you.

This is not a typical catering gig. Our events are immersive, elevated, and unlike anything most guests — or staff — have ever experienced. We hold our team to the highest standards and in return offer a dynamic, rewarding work environment and competitive pay.

Available Roles

FOH / Banquet Staff

  • Deliver elevated table service including plated, coursed, family-style, and cocktail-style service
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a polished, composed presence in high-profile outdoor environments
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team, Event Producer, and FOH Manager to ensure seamless event execution
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest interaction at all times

Bar Staff

  • Execute full bar service in an outdoor event setting
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and beer with speed, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Monitor guests responsibly and adhere to all alcohol service guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar station throughout the event
  • Engage guests warmly and knowledgeably about beverage offerings

Requirements — All Roles

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in event service, banquet service, or hospitality
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in fast-paced, outdoor environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
  • Must be comfortable being on feet, on beach for extended periods
  • Must be comfortable
  • Valid alcohol service certification required (TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol) or willingness to obtain prior to first shift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working large-scale private events, weddings, or luxury dining experiences
  • Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and fine dining service etiquette
  • Experience with VIP or high-profile clientele
  • Fine dining or hospitality training or certifications a plus

What You Can Expect from Us

  • Competitive pay ranging from $28–$40/hour depending on experience
  • Stunning, one-of-a-kind event locations
  • A professional, supportive team environment
  • Opportunities for repeat work and ongoing seasonal events
