Closet Shelving Co. is a family-owned and operated, locally based custom closet and storage solutions company seeking an Independent Sales & Design Consultant to join our growing team. This is a commission-based, independent contractor opportunity designed for experienced professionals who are comfortable working with company-provided leads, generating their own opportunities, and managing the entire sales process from consultation through close.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual who is excited about joining a local, growing company and helping build a strong presence in the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland markets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who prefers a flexible, entrepreneurial environment and is looking to step away from a traditional corporate setting.

Position Overview

As an Independent Sales & Design Consultant, you will be responsible for working company-provided leads, developing your own opportunities, meeting with clients, designing custom storage solutions, and closing sales. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow with a family-owned business where your contributions directly impact the company’s success.

Responsibilities

• Work company-provided leads and generate your own through networking, referrals, and relationship building
• Conduct in-home consultations with prospective clients
• Measure spaces and design custom closet and storage solutions
• Present designs and pricing to clients
• Close sales and manage client expectations
• Communicate project details with the team for ordering and installation
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle

Ideal Candidate

Service Area

This position will primarily serve Northwest Indiana and surrounding Chicagoland suburbs, with opportunities to grow within both markets.
