Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kirkland, WA, for a Lead Preschool Teacher. The Lead Preschool Teacher will design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, create dynamic curriculums, and lead engaging activities to foster learning, creativity, and social skills in children. The candidate will ensure classroom safety, perform regular assessments, and establish effective communication and collaboration with families. The teacher will also supervise and mentor support staff to maintain a nurturing environment for children.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, with a focus on early childhood learning frameworks
- Strong experience in Early Childhood Education and working effectively with young learners (ages 1 to 5)
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and children
- Understanding of child development milestones, including skills relevant to preparing children for Kindergarten
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor classroom staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred
- Relevant certifications in first aid and CPR are a plus
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment
